And, sure enough, it turns out the Yankees usually do very well against winning teams when they make the playoffs and especially win the World Series. Don’t think you can simply dimiss the 15-20 record, even if (and perhaps especially because) most is the result of Boston.

It got brought up in 2009. The bottom line is that everyone has trouble with winning teams, even other winning teams. Obviously we’d prefer if the Yankees could beat every team, even the winning ones, but it doesn’t always happen.
